We, Rent a Boat, are offering a unique opportunity to explore Lisbon in the morning. While we are gliding through Tagus River, you will be introduced to some historical monuments, churches, bridges, gardens, and other splendid places by our skippers that speak several languages. Besides that, you can lean back, relax and enjoy your glass of wine. Tour programme - Departure: Please check in at the meeting point at least 20 min before the tour start time. We will be leaving from the port. If you come here by car, there is a car park right next to the marina, which is free for our customers. We will meet at Doca de Belém near the Padrão dos Descobrimentos. We were met at the dive center at 8:30, received our gear, and were able to swap clothes/shoes if something didn't fit. The dive center offers restrooms, changing rooms, hot showers, and towels. You can leave your gear there during the trip; water and snacks (bananas and pasteis de nata) were available along the way. We also brought food for our lunch break on the boat. We were driven to the harbor and then boarded two speedboats. The total group consisted of about 30 people. As a family with three children, we had our own dive guide, Cissi. (There were always 4-5 people in a group. The groups always snorkeled together at the same time and kept plenty of distance between each other.) Our snorkeling guide was always very attentive, explained a lot (she's studying marine biology), and even had a handbook on fauna and flora with her. She was competent, adapted to our pace, paid special attention to our youngest daughter, and explained the dangers – overall, she was very competent, relaxed, friendly, and approachable. Everyone at the dive center speaks fluent English. We visited two snorkeling spots and had plenty of time to snorkel. We also snorkeled through a cave and saw lots of fish. "The boat tour was amazing. From the communication beforehand to the ride itself things went smoothly. We chose this ride because it was possible to bring a dog and she was received kindly and there were no problems taking her with us. The guide was very knowledgeable about the city and the area around it. Not only did we learn something during the beautiful boat ride, we also got to ask questions and received advice for what to do in and around the city from a local perspective. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming , for us and our dog. Additionally the guide was also kind enough to take pictures of us. All in all a great experience that we can only recommend should you visit the city"

"One of the highlights of this excursion is undoubtedly the Lisbon by Boat team. The captain is multilingual (English, French, Portuguese), and his crewmate, Thomas, is delightful. He enthusiastically shares interesting anecdotes about the various points of interest we discover, all in impeccable English and with a big smile.
I appreciated the blankets offered at the end of the day, as the temperature can drop; it's a very nice touch. In addition, the drinks (soft drinks and Portuguese wines) served by the crew are a real plus.
Even if Lisbon's urban setting isn't the most spectacular, this sailing trip remains a powerful and very enjoyable experience, greatly enhanced by the professionalism and kindness of the Lisbon by Boat team. I highly recommend it!"
