"We had booked the 10 a.m. ferry from La Lavandou and unfortunately completely miscalculated the walking distance. The crew had already raised the ramp, but then looked back and saw us. They immediately waved to us and helped us board. During the outward and return journeys, the captain explained what we could see and told entertaining little stories. I was currently walking with crutches and was somewhat handicapped, but that wasn't a problem at all, as the ladies and gentlemen were very caring and always helped without being asked."
