Exploration, excitement, experience - this is what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is about. This course builds on the Open Water Diver and will provide you with additional skills and much more knowledge, building up your confidence. You don't have to be “advanced” to take it – it is designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after your Open Water Diver course.
Goal of the courseThrough 5 various “adventure dives” including the related theory, you can improve your skills and develop more confidence under water. Under the supervision of your PADI instructor, you get a taste of various specialities of diving. You gain more diving experience and broaden your areas of interest.
Meeting & PreparationAt best, you come to our diving centre already 1-2 days before the beginning of the course, so we can get to know each other, and we can already take care of the bureaucracy. If you arrive by car, free parking is available at the centre or at the camping site car park. Please bring your dive brevet and log book with you. You will fill in the customer card, liability release and health statement, and you will receive the PADI Advanced Open Water Manual, so you can prepare already some theory. You will get to know your PADI instructor and get a briefing about the premises and the exact procedure of the course.
Course contentYou discuss the exact course with your instructor. The dives “navigation” and “deep diving” are mandatory. You choose the other 3 dives from special activities like night diving, wreck diving, peak performance buoyancy, search and recovery, boat diving, underwater naturalist and many more.
