Meeting & Preparation
We meet you at our school on Praia do Amado at 10 am (the time may change depending on the season: we will inform you in time before your course). There, you will meet our instructors, you will be equipped with the appropriate gear and then you will reach the water for your 1.5 or 2-hour session.

As a beginner, you will learn safety rules, familiarize yourself with surfing equipment, practice how stand-up on a board, catche foams, generate speed or slow down; as an advanced surfer you learn to recognize where you can paddle, how to behave on the line up and catch your first green waves. Of course the course will be tailored to your needs!

Do I need to be a good swimmer, and what's the minimum age?
You need to have swimming ability to participate. The minimum age is 6 years.
Why can the time of my lesson change, and how big is the group?
The lesson is private, so it will be just you and your instructor, or a partner if you book together. The start time, usually 10 am, may be adjusted depending on the season, but you will be informed in advance.
Is equipment included, and what do I need to bring?
A surfboard and wetsuit are included in the price. You should bring your own swimwear, a towel, and a picnic.
Where is the meeting point?
The meeting point is at the Amado Surf School on Praia do Amado.
What will I learn during the lesson?
