Discover the joys of skiing with our dedicated first timers ski lessons for adults, suitable for participants from 16 years of age. If you are stepping into ski boots for the very first time, this is the perfect starting point. Nestled in the picturesque Ötztal region, the resort provides an ideal, safe backdrop for your inaugural experience. The lessons are conducted in small groups of up to 10 participants, ensuring you receive individual attention, immediate feedback, and a supportive learning environment.
The lesson begins with getting you comfortably familiar with your equipment. The focus is exclusively on building a strong foundation like understanding and safely managing your skis and boots. Safety and movement skills are taught to help you learn how to walk, glide, and stop effectively using the snowplough technique. You will then practice your first turns on very gentle, flat terrain. This initial phase is crucial for building confidence and ensuring you understand the fundamentals of control and balance.
We utilize the gentle beginner slopes of the Ötztal, which are carefully selected to minimize stress and maximize learning. The resort features excellent facilities, including modern, easy-to-use beginner lifts and dedicated teaching areas. Throughout the lesson, our certified instructors prioritize safety, clear instruction, and steady progression. We ensure every participant progresses at a comfortable pace, allowing you to quickly gain the necessary skills to move independently on the snow. By the end of your lesson, you will have gained the essential skills and confidence needed to safely navigate green slopes, ready to continue your skiing adventure in the beautiful Ötztal.
Meeting Time
We meet at our ski school office and rental shop, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. If you booked with equipment (to be added to your cart during check-out), please be at the shop 1 hour before the start to pick up your equipment.
Equipment Rental
If you need rental equipment, please add it to your shopping cart during the checkout process when booking.
Ski Pass
All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
