Kayak & Canoe Hire on the Chassezac River

Take one of our canoes and go on an adventure! Thanks to our canoe hire service on the Chassezac River, spend an unforgettable time with your family or friends. Enjoy nature around you and discover the local flora and fauna. The many rapids on the river will add a bit of spice to the activity. Finally, take advantage of the wild beaches to swim in the clear water of the river or to have a picnic.

Tour programme - Preparation: The meeting point is directly at the boat hut in Les Vans (free parking available), 15 minutes before the booked time, not far from the starting point of the tour. Upon arrival, you will be provided with the necessary equipment for the activity (life jacket, waterproof canoe and paddle). Afterwards, you will be given a short introduction on how to use your equipment. - Tour: All along the way you will cross 6 rapids which will make the tour even more fun. You will also find wild beaches where you can stop for a swim or a picnic! You can also jump off the many natural diving platforms of the river. - Return: Once you have reached the end of the route, a shuttle bus (last departure: 7 pm) will take you back to the base where your vehicle is waiting for you. A restaurant awaits you at the end of the route or at our base; you can also order a picnic basket (details will be provided after your booking).

Tour facts - River: Chassezac - Description: tributary of the Ardèche, the Chassezac river cuts through the plateau, creating magnificent gorges and breathtaking cliffs - Distance: 7 km - Total duration: 3 hrs - Time on the river: you will paddle for 2 hrs, and you can keep the canoe until 6 pm - Number of people per canoe: up to 3 (2 adults and 1 kid from 7 to 10) - Kids from 7 to 10 years old, seated in the middle, will pay a discounted price of 5€
