Come and discover caving with your family in South Ardèche! This easy excursion which does not require abseils and does not include narrow passages will reveal all the secrets of the Ardèche underground. Your qualified guide will take the time to teach young cavers between 5 and 10 years old about rock formations like stalagmites and stalactites, but also other concretions! You will have the opportunity to visit the Cotepatière cave on the border between the Ardèche and the Gard. So, get ready to live an unusual experience with your family that everyone will remember!
Tour programme
- Preparation:
We will meet you 15 minutes in advance at our base. Once we are all together, we will go to the cave, each group in its own car. A walk of around 10 minutes to reach the cave and to return back will always be necessary.
- Tour:
During this 3-hour excursion, enjoy the instructive explanations of the qualified instructor who will accompany the group of 8 participants. You will even be invited to experience complete darkness!
- Return:
Once the tour is over, we will head to the car park for you to pick up your vehicle.
Tour facts
- Cave: Cotepatière cave
- Description: cave accessible to all, located between the Ardèche and the Gard
- Total duration: 3 h and 1h30 in the cave
- Most of the time will be spent in the Grotte de la Cotepatière but it is also possible to visit other caves
