Private Surf Lessons on Matosinhos Beach near Porto

The Portuguese shore is famous for surfing, especially Matosinhos. Our beach is renowned for being accessible to anyone due to its unique shape and its closeness to the breakwater of the harbour. Here, the small waves are perfect for beginners, and the further south you go along the beach, the more intensive the waves become. Furthermore, we are on the outskirts of Porto, making the beach easy to reach. As such, we think our private surf lessons are a great opportunity for you to work on your surf skills after some sightseeing in the city. No matter whether you are a beginner, eager to try out surfing for the first time, or already have some experience and want to move on to some more challenging waves, we are happy to welcome you.

Our instructors usually teach individuals or small groups of up to 3 people, so come with your friends or some family members to enjoy a lesson tailored to your needs. After a 30-min preparation, including a safety briefing and a warm-up session, you will spend one hour in the water, and our instructors will do their best to support you, and help you progress.

Meeting & Preparation
In this part of the Portuguese shore, we can surf either at low or at high tide. You should be at the base 30 min before the beginning of your lesson. We are close to the subway station Matosinhos Sul, and many bus lines stop nearby. We will talk about your level, your expectations, and provide you with the complete equipment. Our instructors will also talk you through a quick briefing on the beach before beginning the warm-up. This whole preparation time lasts 30 min, and we guarantee you 1 hour in the water.
