One of the best ways to explore Salina, with its impressive cliffs and villages of white houses overlooking the sea, is to circumnavigate it by boat. Our boat trip to Salina from Lipari will allow you to admire these two islands from the sea and explore the town of Santa Marina Salina on your own.
We will leave from the port of Lipari Marina Corta and begin to sail north, along the bay of Canneto and the famous White Beaches, which owe their name to the sediments of pumice of which the island is rich. As soon as we pass Punta Castagna, will appear in front of us the island of Salina, the second largest of the Aeolian Islands and undoubtedly the greenest of the archipelago.
We will circumnavigate the island to admire the rock walls of Capo Faro, the beautiful beach of Pollara, and a small village called Lingua, with its salt lake where salt was extracted in the past. We will then stop in the village of Santa Marina for two hours, where you can visit the picturesque streets, the eighteenth-century church of Santa Marina and the many local stores and restaurants.
On the way back we will cruise along the west coast of Lipari, so you can see this part of the island from the sea before we return to the Port of Lipari Marina Corta.
