On the full-day boat & bus tour from Zakynthos to Kefalonia, we take you on a magical journey, where you can get to know the island from its most beautiful side. This eventful tour has some highlights in store for everyone, young and old alike. We mainly travel by minibus and explore the island on land, but change to the ferry and a small boat in between. To make the tour as comfortable as possible for you, we pick you up directly from your accommodation. From there we head towards Agios Nikolaos, where we change from our minibus to the ferry. Very important: keep your eyes open and your cameras ready, because dolphins like to play in the waves of the ferry! If you are lucky, you might catch one of their playful jumps on camera.
Once we arrive on Kefalonia, in Pessada to be precise, we get back into our minibus and drive through the beautiful landscape to the Drogarati Caves. Here you can marvel at the wonders of nature up close: stalagmites and stalactites of various sizes line up one after the other. However, this cave is not only a spectacle for the eyes, but also for the ears. The rocky walls of the caves create extraordinary acoustics. If you are brave enough, you can sing your favourite song here and the cave will ensure that your singing skills reach a new peak. We continue our tour to Melissani Cave. Here you will change to a small rowing boat to navigate on the lake in the cave. What is special here is that the cave has an open ceiling so that the sun can shine in. The opening is surrounded by trees, which create a magical atmosphere. The sunlight and the clear water together make it look as if the boats are floating in the cave. A truly unique experience that no holiday photo can do justice to – you have to experience it yourself! By the way, this place is known in Greek mythology as the Cave of the Nymphs.
Our next item on the agenda is lunch. We will drive to the traditional fishing village of Agia Efimia, where you can try a typical dish in one of the restaurants. Afterwards, a stop at one of the most beautiful beaches on the island awaits us: Myrtos Beach. The contrast between the white sandy beach and the blue sea invites you to swim and snorkel, and the overgrown rocks around the beach create a unique and protected atmosphere. We continue on to the island's capital, Argostoli, and then back to Pessada. Both towns are worth a stroll through the narrow streets. You can go shopping, buy souvenirs for your loved ones at home, eat an ice cream or admire the ships in the port. To get back to Zakynthos, we take the ferry from Passada to Agios Nikolaos again and bring you back to your accommodation with our minibus. On the way back, you have another chance to see dolphins playing in the waves. After this eventful tour, you will surely have many photos and stories to share with your friends and family at home.
