We start our bus and boat trip to Shipwreck Beach and the Blue Caves in Laganas, where we will pick you up with our minibus. Once the tour group is complete, we will start a scenic route around Zakynthos Island, towards Skinari Cape. On the way, we stop at a few famous sights to take pictures, including Xygia Beach. Here you can also swim in the sulphur-infused water that is said to have multiple health benefits.
We will then reach the port of Agios Nikolaos, where we will get off the bus and board a glass-bottom speedboat. The skipper will take you to 2 sights, the first being Navagio Bay, also known as Shipwreck Beach. This beach earned its name from the shipwreck that ran aground here many years ago, and the impressive remains can still be seen. The beach is only reachable by sea, which makes it the perfect place to swim and sunbathe. After a while, we will move on to the Blue Caves, where you can swim in the surrealistic caves, surrounded by blue light.
Back in Agios Nikolaos port, we will take the bus to the top of Shipwreck Bay to see the spectacle from a different point of view. On our way back to Laganas we will stop at a local market where you can try, and maybe buy, some traditional products. To end the tour, we will visit Exo Chora village to admire the ancient olive trees.
It was a wonderful experience. Nikos was an excellent guide. He showed us wonderful places that will remain in our memories forever.
recommended! it was a hassle free way to visit the northen side of zakynthos. our mini bus group was only 10 people, pick up and drop off was outside our hotel in Laganas. we drove up north and boarded the glass bottom boat (joined by other tour groups) around noon. we were in the sea till about 3pm. every stop was nicely timed, not too long not too short. we had lunch and were back at our hotel by 5pm.
The tour was super nice! Because the group was so small, we got to know each other quickly and Artemis (guide) was super friendly and pleasant. The time management was perfect and the food with the beautiful view at the end was very good. I experienced a lot that day and saw a large part of the island and the bays. There was absolutely enough time for swimming. There were 10 more people on the boat, but there was enough space and still not too big. I also chose this tour because there was NO turtle spotting offered. Unfortunately, this happens too often there and you should stay away from it for the sake of the turtles. I would book the tour again at any time.
