If you're staying in Taormina and don't want to miss out on the Aeolian Islands, our boat trip to Lipari and Vulcano is just for you. As UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, this group of 7 islands includes active volcanoes and natural wonders that will provide us with plenty of thrills.
We will depart from Taormina by private bus with a guide on board and get to Milazzo, from where we will embark on a private motorboat to Lipari Island. During this 1-hour journey, you will have a magnificent view of the coast at Capo Milazzo and Vulcano, and a guide will explain the characteristics of the Aeolian Islands. Once arrived in Lipari, you will have about 2 hours to visit the old town, the cathedral, and the archaeological park.
Once everyone is back on board, we will reach the island of Vulcano, navigating along the Faraglioni and the Grotta del Cavallo. We will stop for about two hours on Vulcano, where you can have lunch in one of the island's typical restaurants or relax on one of the island's black beaches. After about two hours on the island, we will re-board and return to Milazzo, sailing near the 'Scoglio di Papa Giovanni' and the 'Scoglio della Sirenetta'. After having reached Milazzo we will take the bus back to Taormina.
Well organized. Renata, the guide, kind and helpful. Maximum respect for the schedules. Must do! We had a beautiful day!

It was an amazing experience. The tour guide gave clear and detailed information about the landscapes and inhabitants. We could taste the typical wine, buy biscuits from the island and take pictures of the smoking volcanoes. On the boat trip we passed the Venusbad (a rock formation) and great fields. The water was a gorgeous color and glittered in the sun. The captain stopped to take pictures of the unique nature. On Vulcano there was a sulfur hot spring in the middle of the market place with breathtaking colors. Finally we had 2 hours free time on Vulcano. Most of the visitors spent it bathing. The water was very warm, you hardly felt any difference between the land temperature and the water temperature. Which I personally love! It was a terrific day! I would recommend the excursion to all holidaymakers in Sicily.
