The coast around Palermo is full of wonders, and you can discover them by joining this boat trip to Capo Zafferano and Secca delle Formiche. Departing from Marina Villa Igiea, we will head south, having a splendid view of the Gulf of Palermo. This area is rich in fish, so if you wish, we can set up our fishing gear and hope for a good catch!
Our first stop will be the Spiaggia dei Francesi, a small rocky cove accessible only on foot or by boat, and famous for its deep turquoise waters. After having jumped into the sea, we will navigate around the promontory. There, we will find the Arco Azzurro, a beautiful natural arch set in a beautiful inlet. From now on, the coast will become rocky and frequently interrupted by small inlets, such as the ones called Piscine, where we will stop for another refreshing swim. When you are hungry, we will serve a light lunch, which you can enjoy in our spacious dining area. After lunch, we will navigate to Capo Zafferano, also called Napoleon's Hat because of its peculiar shape that reminds the commander's hat.
We will then head towards Sant'Elia, and from there, go offshore to the Secca delle Formiche. This shoal is an underwater mountain rising almost 60 metres from the seabed. Various boats have sunk here over the millennia, and we can find a big variety of fish, which you can admire with our snorkeling equipment. We will then head back towards the coast and reach the castle of Solanto, of Norman origin. We will swim one last time in the vicinity of the castle and then head back towards Palermo, getting an overview of this extraordinary coastline.

Beautiful excursion with plenty of deck space and picture perfect views of the Sicilian coast. The water offered refreshment in the high temperatures and there was enough space to sunbathe. A delicious lunch was included in the price, which filled our stomachs well after drinking Prosecco. The view and the water were breathtaking and the crew was very courteous and friendly.
