What to Expect

If you are an adult with no prior or very little skiing experience and want to learn the basics in a safe and supportive environment, these ski lessons for adults from 16 years in Zell am See are the perfect introduction to the slopes. Set in the beautiful Schmittenhöhe - Zell am See - Kaprun ski resort, with its 77 kilometres of varied slopes, the area offers an ideal setting for beginners. With gentle slopes and modern facilities, the resort provides everything you need to feel comfortable and at ease as you learn. Group sizes are kept small, with a maximum of 12 participants, ensuring personalised instruction and a sociable atmosphere for adults to learn together.

The course begins with getting familiar with the equipment, a key first step for safety and comfort on the snow. You will then practice essential skills like balancing on skis, basic sliding, and safe stopping techniques on gentle beginner slopes. These foundational skills help you build control and confidence, making it easier to progress. The lessons include structured, engaging training methods, with instructors providing clear, helpful guidance to ensure a positive learning experience. You will learn at your own pace, surrounded by peers who share the same goal of mastering the basics while enjoying the process.

Meeting Time

Please visit the selected ski school office either the day before or on the day of the lesson, latest 45 minutes before the lesson. The offices are located at the bottom stations of the following cable cars: AreitXpress, CityXpress and TrassXpress.

For the actual lesson: Depending on what location you book, we will meet 30 minutes before the start of the lesson at one of our ski school offices at the bottom stations of the cable cars AreitXpress, CityXpress or TrassXpress.

Ski Pass

When you come to one of our ski school offices before the start of your lesson, you will get all the information about what ski pass you will need.

Good to Know

• Ski equipment is not included in the price of the lesson

• Please make sure you have skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• If a group has fewer than 4 participants, either groups will be merged or the lesson time will be shortened

• It is possible to switch between different skill levels or change instructor during the course
