SSI Open Water Diver Course in Lagos for Beginners

Dive into the underwater realm with the SSI Open Water Diver course, perfect for beginners seeking to explore the ocean's beauty. The regional coastline offers a vibrant marine ecosystem, from colorful coral reefs to rocky formations, caves and ship wrecks. Explore beloved dive spots like Propeller's Paradise, Canavial, Martelo or many others. Led by experienced certified instructors, the course features 2 three-hour pool sessions and four sea dives over a total period of four days minimum. Enjoy the course and training on a very personally focused level due to the small group size of a maximum of only two people per instructor.

You'll receive e-learning material beforehand to learn diving theory. Then, you'll have two pool sessions the first two afternoons to get familiar with scuba gear and practice techniques. After that, you'll dive into the open sea, exploring vibrant underwater landscapes and marine life. Morning open water dives guided by an instructor will build your confidence and skills. Drinks (water, tea) and snacks (biscuits, fruits) are provided onboard. Upon completion, you'll earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

Programme
- eLearning:
Once the booking is completed, we will send you all further instruction to access the SSI e-learning portal. We recommend you complete the necessary modules before the start of the course, but you can also complete them at the same time. It will make the start of the practical training faster and easier if you have familiarized yourself with the theory.
- Kick-off:
Meet us at the dive center at the port of Lagos at the booked time for your first course intro and pool session. The first two days we will do briefings and learn more about the equipment, diving in theory, while already practicing, exercising and developing skills in the pool. We use multiple pools nearby depending on the circumstances. We will either take you to the Marina Club Hotel, Hotel Vila Gale (our other dive center location) or to a heated pool in Winter.

Requirements
- Minimum age: 10 years old (note that ages between 10-14 receive the Junior Open Water Diver, which will automatically convert into the adult Open Water Diver)

Good to know
- After diving, you have to leave a minimum time frame of 18 hours between your flight
- People can join the boat trip for the sea dives, but it costs an extra 39€ per person (Snorkeling Price, wetsuit, mask/snorkel and fins included)
- Free parking around the harbor and a drop-off zone in front of the dive center
