Our boat trip to Fort Boyard from Saint-Nazaire-sur-Charente is an unforgettable way to discover one of Charente-Maritime's most emblematic monuments. You will embark at the Fontaine Royale de Lupin (royal fountain), a remarkable site that supplied fresh water to the royal ships when the Rochefort arsenal was in operation.
We then head up the Charente estuary towards the ocean. On the way, we'll pass close to Île Madame, a small islet only 800 m long and 400 m wide, accessible on foot at low tide. Then we will head for the famous Fort Boyard. The boat will get very close as it goes around.
