Boat Trip to Fort Boyard from Île de Ré with Stopover on Île d'Aix

Our boat trip to Fort Boyard from the Île de Ré, with a stopover on the Île d'Aix, invites you to discover one of the Charente-Maritime's most emblematic monuments, as well as one of its wildest islands. After embarking in the charming little port of Saint-Martin-en-Ré, the boat trip begins by skirting the island's coastline, allowing you to discover it from a whole new angle. After passing under the bridge linking the island to the mainland, we will head for the famous Fort Boyard. The boat will get very close as it goes around. The trip will be accompanied by commentaries to help you learn more about the history of this impressive fortress and the secrets behind its construction. Then, after 1.5 hours at sea, you will disembark on the small island of Aix, on which you will spend between 6 and 9 hours. Horse-drawn carriage or bicycle rides, a visit to Fort Liédot or the Napoleon Museum, not forgetting its beaches and restaurants: you will have plenty of activities to choose from to discover this haven of peace and quiet where no cars are allowed. Once back on board, it takes around 1.5 hours to reach Saint-Martin-en-Ré; please note that some returns are via La Rochelle, but no disembarkation is planned.

How to get there We meet 30 minutes before departure at our pier in the port of Saint-Martin-de-Ré. If you are coming by car, paid car parks are available between 5 and 10 minutes‘ walk away; free car parks are located outside the town, 15 minutes’ walk away. At the end of the excursion, you will return to the departure point.
