What to Expect

Get ready for an exciting morning adventure discovering Mount Etna! Departing from Catania and the surrounding areas, this tour offers an in-depth exploration of Europe's highest and most active volcano. From the designated meeting point, you will embark on a unique journey with our vehicles, accompanied by our expert naturalistic guides. As you ascend Mount Etna up to 2000 meters, you will witness the awakening of nature on the volcano, from its slopes to its valleys, and discover the region's biodiversity.

You will explore the remnants of the 1991-93 lava flows, the longest in its history. Equipped with the appropriate gear provided by us and guided by our experts, you will safely explore an authentic lava flow cave. The tour will then lead you through beech and birch forests, reaching Rifugio Sapienza at 2000 meters. Here, you will visit the Silvestri Craters and admire the lunar landscapes, characterized by black dunes and solidified lava fields.

The journey culminates with the exploration of Valle del Bove, a vast volcanic caldera with unique charm. As you descend towards the valley, the tour will stop in Zafferana Etnea, where a certified farm will welcome you with tastings of local products, including delicious honeys and fine wines. After this delightful experience, you will be taken back to the meeting point, carrying unforgettable memories.
