What to Expect

If you are visiting Norway, be sure to join our tour from Tromsø to experience the Sami culture. You will have the opportunity to connect with the traditions of the Sami people, including reindeer feeding and enjoying a lunch at a traditional restaurant. The day will start by boarding our comfortable mini-bus in the city center of Tromsø. After half an hour drive, we will arrive at Kvaløya, and enjoy the view of the island surrounded by beautiful mountains and fjords. We will make some stops along the way to admire the landscape before arriving at a Sami reindeer herder near Sommarøy.

Guests will witness the herder calling his reindeer, which roam freely in their natural habitat. Once the herd is gathered, you will have the unique opportunity to feed the animals by hand. Afterwards, we will gather around a bonfire in a traditional Sami tent, learning more about the Sami culture and traditions. The tour will then continue to Sommarøy, a picturesque group of islands surrounded by the open sea. Here, you will have plenty of time for exploring the village by walk.

Finally, before heading back to Tromsø, we will offer you a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Sommarøy, to make the day even better. Our mini-bus is equipped with comfortable seating and large windows to ensure you can fully appreciate the stunning Norwegian landscape.
