What to Expect

These kids ski lessons for first timers are perfect for young beginners aged 4 to 12 years, offering a safe and engaging introduction to skiing in the beautiful Feldberg – Seebuck/Grafenmatt/Fahl ski resort. As the largest connected ski area in the Black Forest, the resort features 29 km of slopes, and the specially designated Thoma Kinderland provides an ideal setting for children to learn. Designed specifically for young learners, this protected area allows kids to explore skiing in a secure and playful environment. With small group sizes of up to 8 children, each participant benefits from personalised attention, creating the perfect atmosphere for learning.

The lessons are designed to introduce children to the fun and excitement of snow sports through a playful approach to learning. Following a warm welcome, our friendly and pedagogically trained instructors guide the kids through their first steps in skiing. They will become familiar with their equipment and practice essential skills like balancing, controlling speed, and gliding on gentle slopes. Lessons take place in Thoma Kinderland, which is equipped with magic carpets to make uphill movement easier and features a children’s course with wave tracks, figures, and a slalom. These playful elements not only enhance the learning experience but also make it exciting and enjoyable for the little ones. Additionally, a kids' ski race takes place every Thursday, where children can showcase their new skills.

The main goal of the course is to help children feel comfortable on the snow while learning the fundamental techniques needed for skiing. By the end of the lessons, they will have built confidence, gained an understanding of basic movements, and experienced the joy of their first turns. With expert guidance and a focus on learning through play, these ski lessons are the perfect way for young beginners to start their skiing journey in the magical winter setting of the Black Forest.

Meeting Time

We meet at our ski school office, right at the foot of the Seebuck slope, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. There, you will receive your course card.

Ski Pass

Kids do not need a ski pass for all the lessons in our Kinderland.

Kids from 7 years old need a ski pass for the lessons.

Good to Know

• Ski equipment is not included in the price of the lesson

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The children's ski race on Thursday (and Friday during high season) takes place only in the morning session

• If the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached, the course will be held in a shortened form after consultation with the participants
