What to Expect

Dive deeper—literally and figuratively—with our FFESSM Level 1 diving course in Les Trois-Îlets, starting from the idyllic beach of Anse à l'Âne in Martinique. This comprehensive course is perfect for beginners eager to gain a solid foundation in scuba diving and explore depths of up to 20 meters under expert supervision. Your journey begins with detailed theory sessions, covering essential topics like dive planning, safety procedures, equipment handling, and underwater communication. Guided by our state-certified instructor, you'll progress to 5 open-water dives that will develop your skills and boost your confidence.

Explore the vibrant marine life along Martinique’s southwest coast, a region known for its stunning underwater biodiversity. Whether it’s your first dive or you’re continuing your diving journey, you’ll practice key techniques and experience the thrill of diving in a safe, supportive environment.

To enhance your experience, you’ll have the option to dive from our spacious RIB boat, which can accommodate up to 18 divers, or a smaller, more intimate boat for groups of up to 10. Both options ensure comfort and a personalized learning atmosphere. The FFESSM Level 1 certification provides you with the skills and knowledge to continue your diving adventures worldwide. • Meeting place: at our base in Anse à l'âne

• Meeting time: 10 minutes before the start of the activity

• Car parks nearby: within a 2 minute walk (free)

Programme

On-site Theory Lecture:

You will learn all about scuba diving theory in a classroom setting at the dive centre with one of our instructors.

Practice Sessions:

We will meet at the dive centre, at the agreed-upon time, check you in and have you fill out the necessary paperwork, including the Medical Statement. When it gets to your first practical diving sessions in the wtaer, we will provide you with all the rental equipment you need. The exact schedule of your course is set individually, based on your progress with the theoretical part of the course and on how much time you have to spare during the following days. We will discuss this on your first day at the dive centre.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 9 years

• Swimming ability

• If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses

Bring Along

• Swimsuit

• Towel

• Sunscreen, sunglasses and hat

• Water

Good to Know

• Not suitable for toddlers, pregnant women and the elderly

• Not suitable for people with bad heart conditions

• Not recommended for people who suffer from any back problems, or had any back operations

• You should not fly within the next 24 hours after the dive

• Diving spot can change based on weather conditions
