• Scenic canal cruise from Virpazar to Lake Skadar's open waters
• Birdwatching at Lesendro Fortress and incredible bird reserves
• Swim in pristine waters and enjoy local Vranac wine
Experience a semi-private boat trip on Lake Skadar, complete with a wine tasting, starting from the charming fishing village of Virpazar. Your adventure begins as you cruise through Virpazar’s scenic canal, bordered by lush reeds and willows, before emerging into the vast open waters of Lake Skadar. As the lake’s immense beauty unfolds, you will pass under the Tanki Rt bridge and approach the centuries-old Lesendro Fortress, a site famously known as the “greatest sorrow of Njegoš.” Today, Lesendro is a serene habitat for numerous bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
Glide past the striking Vranjina Island, an iconic feature rising from the lake’s calm waters. Nearby, you will see the confluence of the Morača River, Lake Skadar’s largest tributary, and approach one of the lake’s two incredible bird reserves, home to rare and diverse avian species. As you begin your return to Virpazar, the panoramic views will continue to amaze, offering endless photo opportunities.
To make the experience even more unique, your guide will allow you to swim in the pristine lake waters. Do not forget to relax and enjoy a glass of local Vranac wine, a perfect way to toast the beauty of Lake Skadar.
We meet at our information desk, 30 minutes before departure. If you come by car, you will find free and paid parking nearby.
