What to Expect

Let your little ones aged from 4 to 5 discover the joy of skiing with our kids ski lessons taking place in Samoëns 1600. The lessons commence with an introduction to the Mini Mouse Group, a carefully structured programme designed to cater specifically to young beginners. Here, your child will be part of a small group of 4 to 6 children, allowing for individual attention from our experienced instructors who specialise in child-friendly teaching methods. The focus is on making skiing fun through engaging activities that gradually introduce the basics of the sport.

The lessons take place on real ski slopes, providing an authentic experience that encourages genuine progress. These gentle slopes are perfect for little learners, with an emphasis on ensuring that happy children learn faster. The instructors incorporate play into the sessions, creating a positive association with skiing that motivates children to return. This approach ensures that while technical skills are introduced, the primary goal is for each child to find joy in the snow and build confidence on their skis. Rest stops are frequent, allowing children to recharge and maintain high energy and enthusiasm throughout the lesson.

The lessons start and finish at the same time as our standard children’s and adults’ group lessons, at the same meeting point. The goal is to offer parents a convenient and stress-free option for young skiers, while enjoying the slopes themselves.

Meeting Time

We meet in front of the ZigZag meeting point signs in Samoëns 1600, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Ski Pass

Kids under the age of 8 get a free ski pass upon presentation of proof of age (ID or passport) at the ticket desk.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 4 years

• Experience is not required

• Warm outdoor clothing; layers are recommended

• Gloves

• Ski equipment and helmet

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The maximum group size is 6 participants per group

• English speaking instructor guaranteed

• Each kid will be awarded a medal at the end of the course
