What to Expect

Join our kids (from 8 years old) and adults snowboarding lessons in Samoëns 1600! Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, the Samoëns 1600 resort offers a stunning backdrop of snow-capped peaks and beautifully groomed slopes. With English speaking instructors to guide you, our snowboarding lessons are designed for both beginners and intermediate riders eager to hone their skills. Our small group sizes of 4 to 8 participants ensure you receive individual attention while enjoying the support and camaraderie of your peers.

The lesson starts with a brief introduction to the snowboarding equipment, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and confident. Participants will then move to the gentle slopes, ideal for mastering the basics of snowboarding. Here, you will focus on balancing techniques, which are crucial for maintaining control. As the session progresses, you will learn to make your first turns, a fundamental skill for navigating the slopes effectively.

For more advanced participants, the lesson will introduce methods to tackle steeper slopes with ease. The technical correction provided by our instructors will help refine your style, ensuring you build confidence and improve your performance. By the end of the session, you will have a deeper understanding of snowboarding dynamics and be ready to explore more of what Samoëns 1600 has to offer.

Meeting Time

We meet in front of the ZigZag meeting point signs in Samoëns 1600, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Ski Pass

All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure you have a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The maximum group size is 8 participants per group
