What to Expect

This introductory snowboard course is perfect for children aged 8 to 16 who want to try snowboarding without committing to a longer course. The course takes place in the ski resort of Grächen, a charming location known for its family-friendly atmosphere and excellent facilities. Surrounded by picturesque mountains, the resort offers a safe and fun environment where young snowboard beginners can feel comfortable.

During this two-hour course, children will experience action-packed hours on the board. The course begins with a playful and child-friendly introduction to the basics of snowboarding. Participants will get to know their equipment and perform their first sliding exercises. Our experienced snowboard instructors provide individual attention to each child, thanks to the small group size of a maximum of 8 participants. This setup ensures safe learning and allows the instructors to give each child the attention they need.

Meeting Time

We meet at the respective sign at the assembly point at Hannigalp mountain station, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Ski Pass

All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

For people who accompany their children to lessons, the cable cars offer single rides. A ticket for the ski area can be purchased at the tourist office or at the Hannigalpbahn valley station.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure your kid has a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• The maximum group size is 8 participants per group

• The minimum amount of participants for this course to take place is 4

• If there are fewer than 4 children per group/level, the ski school reserves the right to organise lessons at half the lesson time of 1 hour (but at the same price) or to combine groups/levels.
