These snowboarding lessons offer children aged between 8 and 16 the chance to learn or improve their snowboarding skills on the slopes of Grächen! Nestled in the Swiss Alps, the Grächen ski area is renowned for its family-friendly atmosphere and breathtaking alpine views. With well-maintained slopes and modern facilities, it provides the perfect setting for young snowboarders to learn, enhance their technique, and have lots of fun. This course is suitable for beginners or intermediate snowboarders. We recommend a private course for higher levels.
The course begins with group division by age and level to ensure each child receives appropriate attention. For beginners, the lesson starts with the basics - safe standing and falling, getting accustomed to the board, and the first sliding exercises. These fundamental skills are crucial for building confidence. Small groups of up to 8 participants ensure individual attention, allowing each child to progress at their own pace under the guidance of our friendly instructors. Once the children become more confident, they learn the first turns, an essential skill for navigating the slopes. Throughout the course, our friendly snowboard instructors ensure safety and fun, adapting their teaching to the age and skill level of the children.
A highlight of this course is the snowboard race. For all participants up to the level of Blue Prince/Princess, a snowboard race is included as part of the lessons on Friday, while those at higher levels have the option to participate in a race on Thursday for an additional fee.
We meet at the respective sign at the assembly point at Hannigalp mountain station, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.
All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.
Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.
For people who accompany their children to lessons, the cable cars offer single rides. A ticket for the ski area can be purchased at the tourist office or at the Hannigalpbahn valley station.
