What to Expect

Private lessons have the advantage that the teacher's attention focuses more intensively on the individual. This intensity provides a faster learning result. In Winterberg and Altastenberg we give private ski lessons for adults, some ski experience on blue slopes is required and if you are with several, an equal level is important so that the attention can be divided as well as possible by the teacher.

If you have no experience at all, we recommend that you take a day of lessons in our group lesson - the first time - so that you can work on a basis in a quiet environment where you can fully concentrate and step by step under the principle of skiing. A day later, if desired, you can take advantage of a private lesson in Winterberg or Altastenberg where we can get started right away and a good result can be achieved faster.

Our private instructors follow the teaching methods of the DSV and DSLV so that you not only learn to ski with great pleasure but also get lessons in the latest and safest skiing techniques. Thanks to this personal guidance, you will make fast progress. Our private instructors will make you enthusiastic about skiing so that after your lessons you will have fun conquering the slopes of Winterberg.

Meeting Time

Meeting point Winterberg: We meet 15 minutes before the start of the lesson at car park P5, In der Renau 11, Lift No. 11 valley station.

Meeting point Altastenberg: We meet 20 minutes before the start of the ski lessons at the main office of the Kahler Asten Ski School in Altastenberg (Renauweg 4,59955 Winterberg-Altastenberg).

Equipment Rental

The booked equipment can be picked up the day before the booked lessons between 3 pm and 5 pm or on the day of the course from 9 am. Beginners can choose at which of the two rental shops (Schloßberg or Winterberg/Altastenberg) they pick up the equipment. Intermediate skiers are kindly asked to pick up their equipment at the rental shop in Altastenberg. Please arrive about 1 hour before the start of the course to try on the material. You can store rented equipment in our depot or keep it under your management.
