Get into your canoe or kayak to discover the Verdon Gorges!
Our route is accessible to everyone and allows you to discover the river through the most sporting activity among the whitewater sports on the Verdon. From the start, the rapids follow one after another and it's about being reactive enough to take the right direction by following the guide. During the paddling phases, you steer and give speed to the canoe. As rapids alternate with calmer areas, there are phases during which you have time to admire the scenery around you.
Let's see if you can get past the famous rapids "Barre Saint Jean" without your boat turning around!
Tour programme
We meet at our base in Castellane, where you will be equipped. Then you will receive a briefing by your guide. He gives you instructions on how to handle the paddle, information regarding your safety, and he explains the characteristics of the course. Now that you are ready to challenge the whitewater, we walk 200 m before embarking on the canoe. As there is current throughout this stretch, we don't have to paddle much, but the challenge is to steer the canoe well. After our tour, a minibus transports us back to our base.
