Goal of the course The aim of this course is to improve your diving skills and strengthen your confidence underwater. Meeting & Preparation At best, you come by our diving centre already 1-2 days before the beginning of the course, so we can get to know each other, and we can already take care of the bureaucracy. Otherwise, we meet at the agreed time at our diving centre in Vrsar. If you arrive by car, free parking is available at the centre or at the camping site car park. There you get to know your SSI instructor and get a briefing about the premises and the exact procedure of the course. Course content The focus of the course is to practice problem-solving skills until they become a habit. You will also learn how to become a better buddy. By expanding your theoretical knowledge with the help of a book, DVD, and instructor presentation and by doing various rescue exercises in the water, you strengthen your diving skills. Some topics in the course are self-rescue, emergency management and the rescue of other divers. Dive area Dive sites depend on weather conditions and are decided by the dive guides the day before the activity. The island of Krk is the perfect starting point as it leads to numerous dive spots. Here you can explore bays with colourful flora, a variety of fish species and harmless caves. Popular diving excursions for experienced divers include the wrecks Siebelfähren, Elhawi-Star or the Mafia wreck. Programme We meet at our dive centre at 9:30. If you arrive by car, you will find a paid car park near the centre. Your guide will be waiting for you on site and will give you more detailed information about the planning of the dive. If you don't have your own equipment with you, you can hire all the equipment you need on site for a small extra charge. Afterwards, you will already be on your way to the chosen dive site. If you choose to dive from the beach, you will take a van from the base to your dive spot on the beach. If you choose to dive from the boat, you will drive together with the guide to the harbour, where the boat is already waiting for you. With the boat, you will then navigate between 15 and 25 minutes to the selected dive site. You will be a maximum of 3 divers per guide.
