SSI Advanced Open Water Diver Course in RovinjTo take the OWD Advanced Course, you must have at least 25 dives behind you. So if you've been passionate about diving for a long time now, it's time to take it one step further. At the end of this course, once you have achieved certification, you will be able to dive up to 40 m, the maximum allowed to non-professional divers.Goal of the course The course serves to obtain the international AOWD certificate. To participate in this activity, all you need to have is an Open Water Diver certificate. During the dive, one of our professional dive guides will accompany you. Whether we visit a dive site by boat or drive to the chosen dive site by van, unforgettable impressions are guaranteed! Dive area Dive sites depend on weather conditions and are decided by the dive guides the day before the activity. The island of Krk is the perfect starting point as it leads to numerous dive spots. Here you can explore bays with colourful flora, a variety of fish species and harmless caves. Popular diving excursions for experienced divers include the wrecks Siebelfähren, Elhawi-Star or the Mafia wreck. Programme We meet at our dive centre at 9:30. If you arrive by car, you will find a paid car park near the centre. Your guide will be waiting for you on site and will give you more detailed information about the planning of the dive. If you don't have your own equipment with you, you can hire all the equipment you need on site for a small extra charge. Afterwards, you will already be on your way to the chosen dive site. If you choose to dive from the beach, you will take a van from the base to your dive spot on the beach. If you choose to dive from the boat, you will drive together with the guide to the harbour, where the boat is already waiting for you. With the boat, you will then navigate between 15 and 25 minutes to the selected dive site. You will be a maximum of 3 divers per guide. At the end of our dive, you will find a shower facility at our base to freshen up before enjoying the rest of the day on Krk.
