Canyoning in the Allgäu for Families with Kids"This was more than a fantastic experience together with my children, aged 13 and 22. We were already received in a super friendly manner at base camp by Noah and Daniel. After the briefing and trying on wetsuits, we headed to the cliff in our own car (10 min). There, we received our helmets and climbing harnesses. Then, a climb to the top begins, which involves walking for about 20 minutes. Already beautiful. Then it really begins. Abseiling, jumping, sliding. Amazing, but also exciting. You could always indicate if there was something you didn't want to do or didn't dare to do. Plenty of time to make an extra jump, and it was striking that they remember your names and regularly call out to ask how you are doing. Truly a fantastic activity. Even the arrival and check-in process was very pleasant. We were complete beginners and had absolutely no experience. We received such a thorough briefing, a great guide, and a great group, especially since there were only five of us. We can highly recommend it – great fun, tons of action, and lots of adrenaline! If you have no experience, you should definitely book the beginner tour first. That's exactly what we did; we made the right choice. We had to complete two big jumps, a water slide, and a whole lot of climbing routes. We were pretty exhausted afterward, even though we're athletic. If we ever vacation in Tyrol again, guys, we'll be back! "We booked a river rafting trip in Austria on July 30, and we were incredibly lucky to arrive at the site and be assigned the amazing guide, Sam. We had read a little about him beforehand, so we felt extremely fortunate that we actually got him as our guide.
We had the most incredible rafting experience, and Sam truly made it the most unforgettable adventure we’ve ever had. His energy, personality, and positive attitude were absolutely fantastic. He made sure the kids were fully involved throughout the trip, playfully pushed them into the water, had fun with everyone, and kept the atmosphere light and entertaining with great comments and jokes.
He was simply amazing. We can’t recommend Sam highly enough – without a doubt, the best rafting guide ever!
