It was quite a hike uphill in the wetsuit in temperatures above 30 degrees, but once you are in the water, you cool down in no time. The trip is manageable with children (even younger children with a bit of courage) and there are plenty of "rest stops". If you have no experience, you should definitely book the beginner tour first. That's exactly what we did; we made the right choice. We had to complete two big jumps, a water slide, and a whole lot of climbing routes. We were pretty exhausted afterward, even though we're athletic.
