Had a fabulous 2 hour experience yesterday. Separate canoe or it would have ended in tears. The couple owing company were great. We speak a bit of French and visa versa English. The instruction clear as to how to negotiate certain parts of river. Warning-put phones away when you circle Brantome & have to get out of canoe to pull up over small weir. Bourg our phones went in & only 1 lived to see another day. 😂 River was great a bit shallow in places but relatively easy, beautiful scenery & shady in most parts. We left at 2.30 on the river, so hot. Really recommended the company, About 10 mins away from centre. Other company in Brantome was closed for 1 week. No guide but directions given.

Beautiful scenery. Lots of wildlife. Great to see brantome from the river point of view. Got a bit stuck on the Weir as did not build up enough speed!!
