If you are looking for a nice activity for your holidays in Crete, look no further: we offer snorkeling lessons in beautiful Chania! Here, you will get to explore the breathtaking underwater fauna and flora in warm and clear waters. A simply perfect activity for snorkelers of all ages!
Snorkeling site
For this activity, participants will be able to explore two different sites. In general, those sites are the islands of Theodorou and Lazaretta, both considered to be amongst Chania's best snorkeling spots. Theodorou Island is also known as Kri-Kri Island as it is the home of a number of local Kri-Kri goats and, just like Lazaretta, offers ideal conditions for diving: clear water and friendly fish who'll come and welcome their visitors! The sites are of course subject to change if the conditions are not good enough.
Programme- Meeting & Preparation:
We meet at our diving centre, at the scheduled time. There is free parking available. We also offer a pick-up service from various places around Chania (if you would like to use this service, please contact us once your booking is completed).
Once at the centre, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork for the upcoming activity. After that, you will simply have to get changed, put on your snorkeling equipment, and carefully listen to your guide's briefing. You will get a detailed insight on where you will go, what you will see and, of course, how to properly use your equipment.
- Snorkeling:
After a 20 to 25-minute boat ride to the first out of two snorkeling sites, you will be able to discover the beauty of local marine life. While going to the second site, you can eat a snack and drink some water before plunging into your second snorkeling adventure of the day.
- Return:
Back at the base, you will be able to shower and change again, and you will be brought back to your initial pick-up point.
