If you have already completed the PADI Open Water Diver course and want to take things to the next level, then this is your chance: try the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver in the beautiful Cretan town of Chania! We offer you this advanced certificate course for certified divers wanting to improve their diving skills and discover a new aspect of diving: adventure dives!
Goal of the course
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver consists of 2 core dives that are mandatory for this course and 3 adventure dives. As there are numerous types of adventure dives, you will be allowed to choose 3 out of a list we will present to you. Adventure dives include boat dive, search and recovery dive, peak performance buoyancy dive, and many more! The goal of the course is in its name: to advance and improve your diving skills by letting you discover new types of diving.
Meeting & Preparation
We meet at our diving centre, at the scheduled time. There is free parking available. We also offer a pick-up service from various places around Chania (if you would like to use this service, please contact us once your booking is completed). Once at the centre, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork for the upcoming activity. On your first day, you will meet your instructor, with whom you will fix a schedule for the next 2 to 3 days.
Course content
- Day 1: Underwater Navigation Dive (required dive for AOWD) + 2 adventure dives
- Day 2: Deep Dive (required dive for AOWD) + 1 adventure dive
Note: The order and length of the individual parts of the course can change and will be individually adapted by the instructor. Also, the course days do not have to be consecutive. You will discuss the exact schedule with your instructor on your first day with us.

What are the requirements for this course?
