Goal of the course
The PADI Scuba Diver programme is a shortened version of the PADI Open Water Diver. Meaning, if you would like to become a certified diver but don't have too much time, this is the perfect option for you. The course consists of theory lessons, confined water dives and open water dives. With the PADI Scuba Diver certificate, you will be able to dive up to 12 m with an instructor. Additionally, you will be allowed to dive practically anywhere in the world, as PADI is an international organization.
Meeting & Preparation
We meet at our diving centre, at the scheduled time. There is free parking available. We also offer a pick-up service from various places around Chania (if you would like to use this service, please contact us once your booking is completed).
Once at the centre, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork for the upcoming activity, and you will receive a PADI Scuba Diver Manual in which you will find your learning material. After that, you will be ready for your PADI certificate course and diving experience! Note that while we might do our open water dives at our beach as well as at the diving sites, we may not use our boats and stay at the beach for all our open water dives.
Course content
- Day 1: Theory lessons + 2 practice dives in confined water + 1 open water boat dive
- Day 2: Theory lessons + 1 practice dive in confined water + 1 open water boat dive
Note: The order and length of the individual parts of the course can change and will be individually adapted by the instructor. Also, the course days do not have to be consecutive. You will discuss the exact schedule with your instructor on your first day with us.
