At our meeting place between Kirchbühellift and Sonnenlift 1
At the kids area, directly behind the ski school office (Römerstraße 23, 5562 Obertauern)
These half-day ski lessons in Obertauern for teens between 12 and 15 are ideal to embark on a skiing journey or working on current technique and skills. Nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps, Obertauern offers a fun, safe environment for skiers to learn and enjoy the sport. The resort boasts a range of slopes suitable for all levels, with areas specifically designed for beginners to comfortably start their skiing journey.
In small groups of up to 10 kids, the lesson fosters a fun and sociable experience where teens can learn together. Instructors teach in an age-appropriate way, making sure that the lessons are engaging and fun. Beginners will start by learning the basics of skiing and will familiarize themselves with their equipment, which is crucial for their comfort and confidence on the slopes. As they progress, they will learn how to make their first turns, ensuring they build a strong foundation in skiing. Advanced skiers will work on their technique and learn how to navigate more challenging terrain.
Every Thursday, the lessons culminate in a weekly ski race at Sonnenlift 3, where children can showcase their skills. This event is a highlight as it offers a ceremonial award ceremony and medal presentation in the afternoon, celebrating each child's achievements in a memorable way. The race not only marks the end of a week of learning but also provides a sense of accomplishment and fun, making the ski course an unforgettable experience for every young skier.
We meet at the kids area directly behind the ski school office (first timers), or at the meeting point between Kirchbühellift and Sonnenlift 1 (skiers with experience), 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.
Upon request, children can be picked up from the hotel free of charge (only for first-timers).
First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.
Advanced skiers need a ski pass for the lessons. You can buy your ski pass online or at the lift ticket office before the first lesson.
