At our meeting place between Kirchbühellift and Sonnenlift 1
At the kids area, directly behind the ski school office (Römerstraße 23, 5562 Obertauern)
These full-day ski lessons are the perfect opportunity for teenagers aged 12 to 15 to either start their skiing adventure or sharpen their existing technique and skills at the stunning Obertauern ski resort. Nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps, Obertauern provides a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for young skiers to learn and thrive. The resort features a variety of slopes catering to every level, including dedicated areas where beginners can comfortably get their start. The beautiful alpine scenery offers a magnificent backdrop as participants discover the resort's numerous slopes and trails.
Held in small groups of up to 10 participants, the lessons cultivate a social and fun environment where teens can learn together. Our instructors teach in a manner that is suited to their age, guaranteeing the sessions are both engaging and entertaining. New skiers will begin by learning the basics of the sport, including familiarizing themselves with their gear—a crucial step for building comfort and confidence. As they progress, they will learn how to execute their first turns, establishing a solid foundation in skiing. More advanced skiers will focus on refining their form and mastering the ability to handle more challenging terrain, boosting their overall skill and self-assurance.
To conclude the week, a ski race is held every Thursday at Sonnenlift 3, giving the children a chance to demonstrate their new abilities. This event is a high point, complete with a ceremonial award ceremony and medal presentation in the afternoon to honor each child's achievements in a memorable way. The race not only wraps up the week of instruction but also provides a great feeling of accomplishment and fun, making the ski course an unforgettable memory for every young participant.
