Canyoning in the Nefeli Canyon in Megalo Papigko

Our exhilarating journey commences from the charming church nestled within the historic Megalo Papigo village, situated amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Zagori. Setting our sights on the fabled sources of the Voidomatis River, we embark on a scenic descent along the winding path to Nefeli Canyon. The initial trio of rappels beckons, each positioned in close succession and ranging from 4 to 7 meters in height. As we navigate through these thrilling descents, we're met with a rush of excitement that sets the tone for the journey ahead.

But the true test awaits at the fourth and final rappel, a formidable 17-meter drop that challenges our courage and determination. Upon conquering this monumental descent, we ascend a winding ladder to return to the precipice, ready to relive the adrenaline-fueled thrill once more. Completing our daring escapade, we embark on our return journey along the scenic path, basking in the glory of our conquests.

Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet at our starting point, Parking lot of Megalo Papigo 15 minutes before departure. There is free parking available close by. You will receive the equipment from us and put it on in the changing rooms. Our guide will then introduce you to the technique of paddling and talk about safety instructions. Then, the excursion can begin.
- Tour:
We descend towards the Voidomatis River's sources, facing thrilling rappels ranging from 4 to 7 meters. The climax awaits at a challenging 17-meter drop. After conquering it, we relive the excitement and return, basking in our triumph amidst the stunning scenery.
- Return:
At the end of the tour, we will return to the base. There are toilets, showers and changing rooms, so you can change into dry clothes and warm up after this exciting tour.
