Looking for a challenge? Come and discover the full route on the Ubaye! Take on the river’s rapids with your friends and set off on a 5-hour excursion through the mountains of the Southern Alps. This challenging route, for those aged 16 and over, features a series of technical rapids and requires a certain level of physical fitness. You’ll start with the legendary, moderately difficult Ubaye route to get to grips with the boat, the instructions and the safety rules, before tackling the more powerful rapids. The more daring among you will then plunge into the churning water amidst the rocky chaos. Go from novice to Ubaye expert in just one day!
Tour programme- Preparation:
Please meet us at our base in Méloans-Revel (free parking) 10 minutes before the start of the descent. We will provide you with modern, professional equipment, including a full-body wetsuit, neoprene booties, a helmet and a life jacket. The small group will then take the shuttle for a 10-minute drive to the starting point. Your trip can then begin as soon as your water safety briefing is complete. Generally, each raft accommodates between 4 and 6 people, depending on the water level.
- Tour:
The state-certified guide, who will be with you on board, will help you navigate the rapids formed by the mountain slopes. During the first descent, you’ll learn the safety rules and get to know the boat. This will take place over 1½ hours on the river. The second section will be much more intense: greater elevation changes mean more technical and longer rapids. There’s no room for error, and thrills are guaranteed!
- Return:
Once the tour is over, the shuttle will take you back to the base where you will find changing rooms, hot showers, a sauna and free activities (bowling, Mölkky, slacklines) if you wish to continue this incredible day! You will also be able to admire the green nature that surrounds you to have a picnic in the wooded park or take advantage of the snack bar and the open refreshment bar.
