SSI Open Water Course in Sliema for BeginnersOur SSI Open Water course in Sliema is tailor-made for beginners like you, offering an immersive and comprehensive introduction to the world of scuba diving. No prior experience is necessary! Throughout this course, which typically spans 3 to 4 days, you will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to become a certified SSI Open Water Diver and to dive up to 18 meters. It's a two-part adventure, comprising theoretical learning and practical training sessions. We guarantee an unforgettable experience as you uncover the hidden treasures of Malta's mesmerizing underwater realm: groupers and parrot fish are waiting for you!The SSI Open Water qualifies you to: - Dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet - Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy - Rent or buy diving equipment in dive centres worldwideProgramme - eLearning: Once the booking is completed, we will send you all further instruction to access the SSI elearning portal. We recommend you completing the necessary modules before the start of the course, but you can also complete them at the same time. Then, you can move straight on to the practical part of your scuba diving experience. - Kick-off: We will meet you directly at our office in Sliema. If you come by car, there are free car parks nearby. We offer free pick-up in Sliema and St. Julian's, as well as paid pick-up in the region as far as Valletta. In both cases, this must be arranged after booking. Once at the diving centre, you will collect your equipment and change clothes. Depending on the weather conditions, we will most likely stay on the beach in front of our base. If the conditions do not allow us to stay there, we will take the boat to a quiet cove and dive there. We will make a total of 6 dives: you can either make 1 or 2 dives a day, depending on your flexibility.
