You will receive a comprehensive safety briefing to familiarise yourself with the signs and signals your guide will use during our descent.We start with a short training session in a calm section of the river to master the basics of hydrospeed. You will learn how to propel yourself with flippers and make turns using the foam float. It is crucial to understand how to anticipate the river's movements, so you can navigate through small currents and control the float's glide. As the descent progresses, you will experience the thrill of diving into the currents, learning to play with whirlpools, rollers, and counter-currents.Our 2-hour descent culminates as we reach the stunning Point Sublime, where the gorge narrows. Here, the Verdon speeds up and becomes steeper, offering the most thrilling part of our adventure. Under the watchful eye of your guide, you will surf the class 4 rapids, feeling the full force of the water beneath you. The tour concludes at the entrance to the Samson couloir, with its breathtaking scenery. It was a great place for canyoning with slides, jumps, abseiling and small passages under stone. Lots of fun challenges, the kids loved it! The last few were a bit too challenging for them though (8 and 10 yrs) but they could do most. Mind that it is cold water and the youngest might get quite cold and tired towards the end. The guide couldn't speak any English at all really but it worked out ok anyway. They were nice and friendly. Mind the parking though, we had to park 3km away with our motorhome and roll down the hill with our bikes. "It was an amazing experience. We booked with 5 adults having one over 70 and 3 kids ages 6-10. The trip was wel paced with a lot of respect for the nature. The kids needed 2 wetsuits each. This limited their movement in the hike to the water. They where very happy getting there because of the heat in the suite. After that only happy faces also because of the amazing guide!"
