Meeting point
Our pick up point for the Reindeer Sledding in Tromsø & Sami Culture - 15 min is in front of the Rorbua Pub next to Radisson Blu Hotel, in Tromsø City Centre. Our team will meet you 15 minutes before the tour starting time. From there, it will take us approx. 25 min by bus to reach the Sami reindeer camp, where a local guide will be already waiting for you.
Tour
With max. 2 people on a wooden sled, your guide and your new fluffy friends will take you around the valley and along the coast for a sleigh ride. Afterwards, you will have a chance to feed those magnificent creatures and learn how to throw a lasso (not on a reindeer though) before entering a typical gamme for a hot drink.
Around lunchtime, you will taste a traditional Sami soup bidos prepared over fire followed by a chocolate cake and coffee. With a hygge atmosphere sitting in a warm candlelit gamme you will finish the day by listening to the stories of Sami culture and traditional Sami folk song joik.
