About Tromsø Arctic Reindeer
Welcome to Tromsø Arctic Reindeer! We're a traditional reindeer herding family running a Sami reindeer camp with 300 reindeers located 25 min drive away from Tromsø. We offer you diverse reindeer sledding near Tromsø with reindeer feeding and the experience of the traditional Sami cuisine. In the cosy atmosphere of a gamme (typical Sami house), our herders will tell you more about reindeer herding and Sami culture accompanied by the authentic joik (Sami folk song). During our romantic night reindeer sledding tours, you might also spot the magic northern lights. The whole team of Tromsø Arctic Reindeer is looking forward to you!
It was amazing for the kids and us as parents. The Sami history was so fun and interesting. The reindeer sled ride was perfect as the sun was setting. Feeding the reindeer was incredible and as we ended the northern lights were everywhere overhead!

A warm welcome, good and very interesting stories from a Sami man about their history. Feeding the reindeer was a fantastic experience; you have over an hour for it. A good three-course meal. All in all, well organized and highly recommended.
