Whether you are a beginner or experienced surfer, during our private surf lessons at Gamboa Beach in Peniche anyone can learn something new. During this one-on-one session, you profit from the full attention of your certified private instructor, who will gladly share his knowledge with you. Thanks to course contents tailored exactly to your needs, fast progress is guaranteed and you discover the waves at one of Portugal's best surfing destinations at your own pace.
Meeting & Preparation
Meeting point is our surf shop at Gamboa Beach (free parking available). Here you are welcomed by your surf instructor, you can change your clothes and store your valuables. Then you will receive the appropriate surf equipment and we head to the beach. Normally we surf at the Praia da Gamboa. If the conditions don't allow it, we offer you a free transfer to a beach with better conditions.
Start time
The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions, so please plan some extra time on the day of your surf lessons. The exact start times are available 2 to 3 days in advance. We will inform you in time after you have completed the booking.
Course content
Our private surf lessons will be tailored to your needs and experience so that you can make fast progress. Your private surf instructor will be happy to meet your individual wishes.

We had a class with coach Bernardo. He broke down the steps in an efficient and fun way so we could stand up on the board in our very fist class!!!! Amazing feeling!!! He is very friendly and outgoing, so it felt like we already know very long.

Why can the time of my lesson change, and how big is the group?
The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best surfing conditions. The exact time will be confirmed 2 to 3 days in advance. This is a one-on-one session, so you will have the full attention of your private instructor.
Is equipment included, and what do I need to bring?
A wetsuit and surfboard are included. You should bring your own swimwear and a towel.

The minimum age to participate is 2 years. You also need to be in good physical health.
