During this trip, you will pass under the majestic Pont d'Arc, a real jewel of the Ardèche Gorges. With small obstacles such as rapids and a slide, this descent is ideal for outings with family or friends. At any time, you can stop at one of the many beaches along the river for a picnic or a swim. So, hop on board our canoes and take a trip into the heart of nature!
Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet at our base in the Châmes hamlet, just outside Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, at the booked time. You will find free parking there. When we are all ready, we will take the bus to the starting point. Finally, we will provide you with all the necessary equipment (life jacket, waterproof container, canoe and paddle), and we will give you a short introduction to the activity.
- Tour:
Once in the water, you can paddle at your own pace and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Ardèche Gorges as it passes before your eyes. This calm course is however strewn with small rapids which will amuse young and old. Along the way, you will find numerous beaches, where you can stop for a swim or a picnic. Towards the end of the route, you will also pass the most famous rapid of the river: the Charlemagne! Finally, you will paddle under the famous Pont d'Arc.
- Return:
After paddling for 13 km, you will finish your journey at the base in Châmes, where you will find your car.
