Spend a day in the heart of the Ardèche Gorges. This kayak & canoe hire 24 km descent is the ideal way to challenge yourself while enjoying the magnificent wild landscapes of the nature reserve. If you get tired, you can stop at one of the many beaches along the river to refresh yourself or have a picnic in an idyllic setting. Tour programme- Preparation:We meet
at our base in the Châmes hamlet, just outside Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, at the booked time. You will find free parking there. The start of the descent will be at the base. We will provide you with all the necessary equipment (life jacket, waterproof container, canoe and paddle), and we will give you a short initiation on how to use it.
- Tour:Once the canoe is in the water, set off on a long journey through the heart of the
Natural Reserve of the Ardèche Gorges. On your way, you will encounter many rapids that will make your descent even more interesting. You will also pass some natural wonders, including
the Aiguille de Morsanne and the
Cathedral, an impressive rock over 100 m high. Finally, take advantage of the many beaches along the way, to stop for a
bath or picnic.
- Return:After 24 km of effort, the tour will end in Sauze, where shuttles will frequently come and go, between 4 and 5 pm, to bring you back to the base.
