Embark on a real canoeing adventure in the Ardèche, thanks to our canoe trip with an overnight stay in a bivouac! This 32 km circuit will allow you to discover, in complete tranquillity, all the treasures of the Ardèche Gorges. All along the way, you will be surprised by rapids and slides, which will make your descent even more interesting. You will also pass several natural nuggets such as the Pont d'Arc or the Crique de la Madelaine. If you get tired, you can take advantage of the many beaches along the river to refresh yourself or to have a picnic. Finally, the night in a bivouac will allow you to sleep close to nature, in a unique setting.
Tour programme- Preparation:We meet
at our base in the Châmes hamlet, just outside Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, at the booked time. Free parking is available on site. Then we will take the bus to our starting point in the village of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc. Once you arrive, we will provide you with all the necessary equipment (life jacket, waterproof container, canoe and paddle), and we will give you a short introduction to the activity.
- Tour:On the river, start paddling and discover lush landscapes and the impressive
Pont d'Arc. Take advantage of the many beaches for swimming or picnicking in beautiful surroundings. Your canoeing trip will be punctuated by several rapids, including the famous rapid
Charlemagne. In the evening, you can stop at one of the two authorised places: the
Gaud bivouac will be the first you encounter on your way and the
Gournier bivouac, which is a little further along the route. In the tents, you will spend a unique evening in the middle of nature! The next day, you can take your canoe back to the finishing point.
- Return:Your journey will end in Sauze the next day, where shuttles will frequently come and go, between 4 and 5 pm, to bring you back to the base.
