These half day kids ski lessons in the stunning Grossglockner/Heiligenblut ski resort are perfect for kids aged 4 to 15 and offer an unforgettable introduction to the world of skiing amidst breathtaking alpine scenery. Nestled beneath the towering 3,798-metre Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain, the resort offers 55 kilometres of slopes with varied difficulty levels. Moreover, the dedicated kids' area Snowland ensures that young skiers can learn in a space designed just for them.
On the first day, children will be allocated to groups based on their experience level. With a maximum of 12 children per group, our skilled instructors create a supportive atmosphere where every child can feel comfortable and thrive. Throughout the lessons, beginners will focus on learning the fundamentals of skiing and becoming comfortable with their gear. As they progress, they will develop essential skills such as the snowplough technique, controlling speed, and making gradual turns.
The highlight of the week is the kids ski race every Thursday morning, where participants can experience the thrill of competition and test their newly acquired skills. A special training session on Wednesday prepares the children perfectly to navigate the gates with the right technique. Since fun and sportsmanship are equally important, all participants will receive a medal during the subsequent award ceremony.
On the first day, we meet in the ski school office, 30 minutes before the start of the morning lesson. For the afternoon session, we meet 15 minutes prior.
From the second day on, the meeting point may vary. Your instructor will inform you about that on the first day.
First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.
