What to Expect

These half day kids ski lessons in the stunning Grossglockner/Heiligenblut ski resort are ideal for children aged 4 to 15 who already have skiing experience and are ready to refine their skills amidst breathtaking alpine scenery. Nestled beneath the towering 3,798-metre Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain, the resort offers 55 kilometres of slopes with varied difficulty levels, perfect for intermediate and advanced skiers.

On the first day, children will be assigned to groups based on their skiing ability. With a maximum of 12 children per group, our experienced instructors create a supportive and encouraging environment where every child can grow and improve. Intermediate skiers will work on mastering parallel turns, improving balance, and gaining confidence on steeper slopes, while advanced skiers will focus on carving, edge control, and tackling more technical terrain.

The highlight of the week is the kids ski race every Thursday morning, where participants can put their enhanced skills to the test in an exciting, competitive setting. A dedicated training session on Wednesday ensures they are fully prepared to navigate the gates with precision. Combining skill development with fun and sportsmanship, all participants will receive a medal during the celebratory award ceremony.

Meeting Time

We meet in the ski school office, 30 minutes before the start of the morning lesson. For the afternoon session, we meet 15 minutes prior.

From the second day on, the meeting point may vary. Your instructor will inform you about that on the first day.

Ski Pass

Advanced skiers need a ski pass for the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the valley lift station before the first lesson.

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 3 participants

• Ski equipment is not included in the price of the lesson

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• It is possible to switch between different skill levels during the course if a skier's abilities improve quickly
